Interlopers

In this story what caught my attention was the fact that two familys were enemys for cenuries, but in few hours of talking and sharing a dangerous situation, problems were solved. I could also see that if you showed some respect to your enemy, the enemy was morally forced to show the same respect to you. This could be a useful formula to avoid conflicts or to solve problems. Because we all know that respect is the key for every relationship. I liked the story, but the ending was such a surprise for me. I never expected wolfs to come and throw everything away. I was expecting that the old enemies became good friends, and that the moral would be that every problem can be solved with communication. When I finished reading my reflection was: At the end the land wasn’t useful for anyone. Actually is only caused both deaths.

  1. I haven't seen the ending from that perspective but I think you are right it isn't that nice as neither of them could actually take advantage of the land they were fighting for and also life's too short to waste it in looking after yourself from your enemies, and not being able to relax for this.
